1. Idea Description

Product concept: Factories directly produce trash bags where “10 bags are pre-nested together.” The user only needs to unfold the innermost layer and fit it onto the trash can. One operation supports 10 uses.
2. Key Conclusions (TL;DR)
- The product already exists; it is not a new invention. Similar products are sold both in China and overseas. On Taobao/1688 they are called “layered trash bags,” “lazy trash bags,” or “no-change bags.” Overseas examples include ONEderBag and Amazon listings for “20-layer pre-nested trash bags.”

Interpretation: Utility models have already swept through the “obvious improvements.” The basic concept cannot be patented. But this is not a dead end — there is still room to design around specific implementations, such as how the bag openings are connected/perforated, how to prevent multiple layers from being pulled out together, and how the bags are fixed. If doing this seriously, the first step is to spend a few thousand yuan hiring a patent agent to conduct an FTO (freedom-to-operate) search, confirm that the intended product form does not infringe, and see whether any differentiated structural features can still be registered.

7. Why Existing Products Are Not Selling Well (Key Judgment)
- The pain point is not painful enough. Manually layering 10 bags takes about 10 minutes once a month. After doing the mental math, most consumers continue using ordinary bags.
- The product has structural experience flaws:

Characteristics of this project:
- Physical consumer goods business: requires managing supply chain, inventory, customer service, and paid traffic;
- Zero reuse of existing software/AI capabilities;
- Gross margin far lower than labeling/data businesses;
- Non-trivial time and energy commitment, even under a private-label model.
11. Recommendation
Do not greenlight this project. Reasons: the idea has already been validated as existing, the patent landscape is crowded, existing product sales suggest questionable demand intensity, and the low-margin, high-volume model conflicts with the current strategy (monetization first + focus on main priorities).
If you just want to scratch the itch: Follow Step 1 and Step 2 in Section 8, with a total budget of ¥500-3,000 and a one-month cycle. Let data decide. If conversion is good, revisit. If not, treat it as a low-cost way to buy an answer without affecting the main focus.
