The LA data center uses “Asia-optimized” routing; it’s not CN2 direct to mainland, but better than generic overseas lines. Peak hours may route around, but it’s usable. Six DCs to choose from—pick LA for proximity to China. The only catch: flash-sale stock sells out often; you need to wait for restocks (racknerdtracker.com tracks this). This is the cheapest + most reliable combo within 150 yuan, no contest.

🥈 VMiss — Best CN connectivity. If you mainly use the overseas server from within China, route quality matters more than specs. Why Dedicated Servers Are Unobtainable

Many people think: can I pick up an overseas dedicated server for 150 yuan/year? No. Even the two cheapest options in used/auction servers:

• Hetzner Auction (Robot Server Auctions): The cheapest used dedicated servers start around €4–7/month, which is €48–84/year ≈ 375–660 CNY/year—2.5–4× your budget.

Both share the same problem: specs (512MB RAM) are only half of Top 3—VirMach is also more expensive than RackNerd yet less reliable, and Cloudzy’s annual pricing is opaque. Chasing cheap ends up more expensive; just go with RackNerd.

1. Don’t expect Tencent Cloud specs. A 150-yuan/year overseas VPS caps at 1C1G / 20G. Tencent’s 99-yuan machine is 2C2G / 50G—overseas at the same price point will inevitably halve the specs. Expecting a direct match = guaranteed disappointment.
